Daughter Like Father

During my family vacation in Belzoni, Mississippi and Port Arthur, Texas I found out that my Dad was quite the artist! What a surprise! I knew I got my musicial talent from him, but didn't realize the artistic talent was along for the ride.

When he was in his twenties, we worked as a night manager for a local hotel, The Driftwood Inn on Memorial Blvd. in Port Arthur, TX. He used a tablecloth from the restaurant and hyper colored markers and went to town! He brought out the fabric art piece last week and I was so happy to share this gift of art!
